On this site I compare two games for the Nintendo 64 system:
Augusta Masters '98 and Waialae Country Club.
Both games were developed by T&E Soft and use the same game mechanics, the way you control your golfer is the same. They also have the same menu.
Name: | MASTERS '98 遥かなるオーガスタ | Waialae Country Club - True Golf Classics |
Code: | NUS-NM9J-JPN | NUS-NWLP-EUR NUS-NWLE-USA |
Released: | Japan | PAL territories North America |
Save option: | Controller Pak (34 pages) | internal |
Language: | English/Japanese with Japanese commentator | English with English commentator |
Golf course: | Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, USA | Waialae Country Club in Honululu, Hawaii, USA |
This message on the right showed up after I switched on the console. I guess it says I should insert a Controller Pak, because it says something about コントローラパック in the first line which means Controller Pak in Japanese.
The screenshots show from left to right Augusta Masters, Waialae (USA version), and Waialae (EUR version). Because PAL has a higher resolution than NTSC (used in Japan and the USA) the screenshots of the EUR version are bigger.
